Chuck and Colleen eventually married and were blessed with 33 wonderful years of marriage. Kristy Lea Patrick, 42, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her home. She was born February 3, 1980 in Barton, MO. Kristy has lived in Savannah since she was 17 years old. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and was considered the “Neighborhood Mom” to many of her children’s friends. Kristy was an avid volunteer at Gould Elementary School where her children attended. She loved to cook and enjoyed feeding anyone who would stop by her home.

He was the son of Lorenzo and Gena Roman, and had lived in New York, Texas, and Florida, before settling in Georgia. His interests included fixing anything that needed fixing, video games, board games , golfing, and fishing.

John Harris Kinzie V passed away at his home in Savannah, Georgia on September 2, 2022 at age 88. Jack was born June 13, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a teenager, he moved to Savannah with his family and it became his lifelong home. Jack served in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from Georgia Tech, and retired from Union Camp in 1996 where he was the Electrical and Instrument Superintendent. Jack was devoted to his wife and family and was happily married to Laura for each and every one of their 67 years together.

Peter O. Bannon said his last “I love you” to his daughter Jennifer on June 16, 2022 as he held her hand. Peter was born July 2, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Anne Peters Bannon and Thomas Donald Bannon. He was educated at Seton Hall and Bergen Catholic in New Jersey before graduating from the University of Norte Dame. Following graduation he joined the Marine Corps and served his country honorably in Viet Nam and left as a Captain with a Navy and Marine Commendation Medal.

In the early morning hours of July 24, 2022, Michael Earl Weatherly Jr. passed away at his mothers residence. Michael was the middle child of Michael Earl Weatherly and Marian Darlene Thomas. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but raised in Savannah. Growing up he was quarterback for the Tybee Dolphins football team and was crowned homecoming king. The Tattnall County, GA native lived most of her life in Savannah and Port Wentworth. Bonnie was a humble and warm person; she was deeply devoted to her family. Her most important role in life was as a mother, grandmother, and sister.

Richard Edward Evans III died peacefully on December 11, 2022. A private service will be held by the family at a later date. George was born in Augusta, Georgia, on May 7, 1940. He died at home in Savannah on December 12, 2022, of complications from Parkinson’s Disease.

Nancy graduated from Savannah High School in 1968, and then went on to study at the Atlanta College of Art for two years. Hazel Georgianna Dove was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey September 1st 1941, at Moutainside Hospital. She received her education in the Bloomfield School System and graduated in 1959. She soon married Lynn Shorts of Montclair, New Jersey, where they gave birth to their beautiful son, Lance Shorts in 1960.
On June 15th, 2022 Elizabeth Freyermuth of Savannah passed away at the age of 98. She retired from Candler Hospital where she worked in Central Service for 41 years. She enjoyed going crabbing at Tybee Island, gardening, and was a huge Braves Baseball fan. She was proceeded in death by her husband Wyman L Freymuth Sr., two sons Charles and Harold Freymuth.

Mr. Jack Morton, 90, of Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 5, 2022. Born in Albemarle, NC, he is the son of the late Claude Bryan and Bethie Almond Morton. Jack graduated from Albemarle High School and attended Duke University, earning a degree in economics. Jack served two years in the US Army at Fort Hood Texas, in the 4th Armored Division / 144th Army Signal Company before returning to North Carolina to attend Wake Forest.
